Opened this month on Ocean Park, Cosetta brings a fresh energy to the Westside dining scene. It’s Italian at its core, but the vibe is unmistakably Westside – seasonal, unfussy, and genuinely warm. The indoor-outdoor space is relaxed and welcoming, with just enough structure to make a casual dinner feel like a night out.

The menu strikes a rare balance of being thoughtful and not trying so hard to be innovative. It has just the right mix of light, fresh flavors and cozy, craveable comfort. Think kampachi crudo with olive oil and capers, a perfectly layered chopped salad, and wood-fired pizzas with options that play it classic and go bold (the Peparazzi with soppressata and peppers is a standout). The mozzarella sticks are another perfectly executed dish and are so nostalgic.

As someone who’s gluten-free, it’s hard to find a restaurant this good that’s also this accommodating. Not just a gluten-free crust option mentioned at the bottom of the menu, but truly desirable gluten-free options, like the gluten-free Milaneses which I’ve never seen GF, let alone done this well. There are plenty of vegetarian and vegan options, too. It’s clear they’ve built a menu that’s meant to be shared.

While the space is easygoing and family-friendly, the bar program doesn’t miss. You know I love an Aperol Spritz, and Cosetta has a few clever takes that are fresh and fun. The wine list leans Italian and coastal, with lots of by-the-glass options that make pairings possible.

The dessert delivers too. The pressed ice cream sandwich is divine with vanilla ice cream on an olive oile glazed bricohe doughnut. Or keep it light(ish) with the polenta almond cake with mascarpone and blueberries.

The service is standout. Not in a white-tablecloth way, but in a way that feels deeply considered. The staff is warm, attentive, knowledgable, and genuinely happy to be there. It’s clear the team has thoughtfully curated every aspect – from the flexibility of the menu to accommodate dietary restrictions to the kids’ menu and the takeout window for easy nights in to the dedicated parking lot (a true rarity on the Westside!). Cosetta is the kind of place you find yourself returning to without thinking, because it just works, whatever the night calls for.

Once a bohemian boardwalk turned tourist destination, Abbot Kinney has seen its fair share of glow-ups – and growing pains. These days, it’s easy to feel like the street has been overtaken by big online brands with instagrammable facades, limited-time pop-ups, and out-of-town labels chasing that Venice magic, but tucked between the backdrops and activations […]

ELEVATE Off-Market Properties

Another late night Zillow binge and you are certain you’ve seen every available home. Think again. At least 10% of all local transactions close off-market. Those dream properties you assumed didn’t exist? They do, you’re just not seeing them. Off-market listings are homes for sale that aren’t publicly advertised on MLS platforms like Zillow or […]
