Alisa – The Stunning New Mediterranean Gem in Venice

Meet Alisa, an effortlessly elegant Greek restaurant nestled on Abbot Kinney in Venice. They quietly opened their doors just last week, but I can already confidently say Alisa is exactly the breath of fresh air this area has been craving. Every aspect of Alisa is uniquely thoughtful – from the menu and wine list to the people and the space itself.

Step inside and you’re instantly transported. Forget bustling Abbot Kinney – you’re in a warm, intimate space somewhere on the sun-drenched Mediterranean coast, immersed in an effortlessly elegant ambiance. From meticulously curated vases displayed in gracefully arched niches to striking clam-shell light sconces illuminating the softly hued walls, every detail exudes a distinctly elevated vibe.

The food is divine. Start with their house-made dips paired with warm, perfectly charred flatbread and the smoked tomato salad, a refreshingly unique dish bursting with flavor. The unexpected standout? The tuna crudo. Perfectly sliced, ultra-fresh tuna, draped elegantly in a bright olive oil-lemon blend. Trust me, you’ve never had tuna quite like this before. The branzino and steak mains are equally impressive, showcasing skillful execution, premium ingredients, and the perfect touch of Mediterranean flair. Pair your meal with a bottle from their well-curated wine list, guided by incredibly knowledgeable staff who offer inspired pairing suggestions.

It’s not just the impeccable food and design that make this space special, it’s the warmth. Everyone from the gracious host and attentive servers, to the owner and chef, who personally checked in on our table, exude genuine kindness and hospitality.

Exciting things are on the horizon for Alisa. A second level is in the works and by summer, they’ll unveil an intimate outdoor dining space in the back (I’m already counting down the days!).

Alisa provides an exceptional dining experience in an intimate and perfectly curated setting. Add it to your rotation now, before reservations become impossible. You can thank me later.
